Why some teens find humor in hurting animals?
Not all do, but I've noticed this behavior in some adolescents. It's something I've seen since childhood, and now my son is a teenager and he said some things about his friends have done, so I wonder why they do this? It is not just about how things are right now with video games, television and violent movies, because I've noticed this in the span of 20 years or something well ... Is this the behavior of a signal that something is wrong with these kids?
This may be a sign of sociopathic behavior, but many children go through phases like this, because they feel weak and powerless, and torturing animals is a way to feel powerful. Most children with a conscience to realize what they are doing is terrible, and grow out of it. It's a way to discover that the awareness of the feelings of others. It is those who appear to have no empathy for the other suffering that must be monitored.
