I need babysitting advice for my situation?

I have these very friendly neighbors with two girls that are 4, and 6. I have met them before and they get along with me well and they are not shy around me and seem to open up with me. But when their mother came over today she asked me for my cell phone number for babysitting and when we were chatting she said that they usually take Raymond their 6 month baby wherever they go, so it will usually only be the girls. But she asked if I would be okay taking care of Raymond on occasions. I said yes because I have been around babies my whole life and I've babysitted realitves of that age, but their parents were home. Now iI'm beginning to get nervous, can I handle all three of these kids? I just need some advice, I've read countless books and guides, I was assigned a virtual baby (it was a high tech doll) and I aced it, I've babysat children like this, but being 13 it can be nervewracking for my first job out of the family.

Maybe the next time you talk to this mother, just tell her that you are only 13 and until you have taken care of the girls for a couple of times, you would prefer not to have to take care of the little boy as well.

Perhaps you could offer to go over to their house now and again, to take care of the baby for her, while she is home - that way you will have the chance to take care of him, while his mother is around.

Three kids is a lot for a 13 year old.

When my daughter was 13 she started babysitting, and there were 2 kids age three and two and a newborn baby girl. I went with her the first time, and she took care of the two older ones while I held the baby. The next time she went, I sat in the kitchen and drank coffee while she took care of all the children, and the third time she said "Mom, you don't need to come any more" - she just needed to do the job gradually, not being thrown in to the deep end all at once.
